Sad news for the basketball world — Lenny Wilkens, one of only five people ever inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach, has passed away at 88. A nine-time All-Star and a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, Wilkens also became a legendary coach, leading six franchises and winning a championship with the Seattle SuperSonics, forever etching his name into the city’s basketball history. Beyond the court, Wilkens was known for his leadership and decades of community work in Seattle. A true pioneer and ambassador of the game.
