Free Summer Adventures to Keep Kids Smiling All Season

Summer break is here, and as a parent, I know how quickly boredom can set in! Last year, I challenged myself to find free activities for my kids every week. We discovered local splash pads, made nature scavenger hunts in the park, and even hosted a backyard movie night with a simple bedsheet and a borrowed projector. The best part? My kids still talk about our DIY obstacle course and the library’s storytime sessions. These moments didn’t cost a dime but created memories that outshine any pricey camp. If you’re looking for budget-friendly ways to keep your kids active and happy this summer, give these ideas a try! What’s your favorite free summer activity for kids? Lost Your Phone? Don’t Panic—Here’s Help!

Losing my phone is basically my worst nightmare. 😅 All my info, contacts, and memories—gone in a flash! But I’ve learned a few tricks to find it fast (and keep my sanity). Here’s what I do: • Call my number from another phone—sometimes it’s just under a couch cushion! • Text my phone with my contact info or a reward offer. 🙈 You never know who might find it. • Retrace my steps—restaurants, stores, even the car. I always ask staff if they’ve seen it. • Use Find My Device (Android) or Find My iPhone—these tools are lifesavers! Just log in and track it on a map. • If I think it’s stolen, I don’t play hero. I call the police and my service provider ASAP. • Change my passwords right away—better safe than sorry! And to avoid this mess in the future, I always keep tracking enabled and have a go-to spot for my phone at home. ❤️ Ever lost your phone? Budgeting became a must, especially when I almost ran out of money halfway through the semester. Making new friends felt intimidating at first, but joining clubs helped me find my people. Lastly, it’s okay to feel lost sometimes—everyone’s figuring it out as they go. What’s one thing you wish you’d known before college?
