Kindness is still out there, and this story proves it!!✝️

My daughter has a very rare genetic disorder. It causes physical and intellectual disabilities, and as a result, she doesn’t really have friends. Birthday parties were never a thing, so we’ve always celebrated in our own way—baseball games, handing out cupcakes to strangers, visiting a major theme park she loves. The workers there know her well, and she calls them her “best friends.” Right before her 8th birthday, she told the park workers all she wanted was to spend her day with her friends. A few days later, one of them reached out to confirm she wasn’t having a party. I explained the situation and that we’d just spend the day at the park as usual. But on her birthday, those workers did something I’ll never forget. They rented out a venue and threw her the most incredible sweet 8 party, completely on her level. There was a show, cake, balloons, and so many “friends” she recognized. She spent the whole day smiling and laughing. I spent the whole day crying. There are still good, deeply kind people in this world. And I’ll never stop being grateful for them. #KindnessMatters #LifeStories #FaithInHumanity #FamilyFirst

Caught their 13-year-old son playing Roblox, they sent him to a boarding school and revoked his bed privileges

Saw this online and it really made me angry. That's totally insane. When I was a kid my dad walked in on me playing a video game on his computer. I thought I was in trouble but instead he sat down next to me and helped me beat the level. A week later he took me to a store and bought a few more games for us to play together. We ended up going to gaming conventions and he even taught me how to write simple code. Those moments shaped everything for me. I went on to work as a graphic designer and later as a web designer. These days I use my computer skills to make videos and films. All of that started because he didn’t punish me. He encouraged what I loved and shared it with me. I’m so thankful he was my dad and not someone who would punish me for playing a game. #ParentingJourney #VideoGames #FamilyStories #LifeStories #ChildhoodMemories

multiple sclerosis was killing my favorite teacher but we never knew

There are some teachers who just stick with you, and for me, that was Mr. Bishop, my 8th-grade English teacher. He was my favorite. But we also remember some strange things. Sometimes, during class, he'd just fall over in his chair. We kids would laugh, and he'd just laugh right along with us as he picked himself back up. Other times, he'd talk really slowly or just "zone out" for a few seconds mid-sentence. A few years after I left his class, I heard through the grapevine that he had to stop teaching. They said he kept having these "episodes" where he'd lose control of his body. That's when the truth hit me: he had multiple sclerosis. That was many years ago. And just recently, I found his obituary. He passed away in January 2022. It just really makes you think about all the quiet battles people are fighting every single day, often right in front of us, and we have no idea. 💔 #Teachers #LifeLessons #MultipleSclerosis #Nostalgia #TouchingStory #LifeStories #Health

How I Accidentally Made a Best Friend at Yoga Class

Honestly, I used to think making close friends as an adult was like trying to find a unicorn—impossible and a little bit ridiculous. But last month, I signed up for a yoga class (mostly to escape my couch), and that’s where I met Jamie. We bonded over our mutual inability to touch our toes and our shared love for terrible puns. We started grabbing coffee after class, and before I knew it, I was telling Jamie things I hadn’t told anyone else. Turns out, friendship isn’t about having it all together—it’s about laughing at yourself, showing up, and sometimes, just saying yes to coffee. If you’re feeling stuck, try something new. You might just stumble into a friendship that feels like home. 🧘‍♂️☕️ #FriendshipGoals #MakingFriends #LifeStories

How I Accidentally Found My Best Friend at a Book Club 📚

Honestly, I never thought I'd find a real friend by dragging myself to a book club after work. I mean, who actually talks to strangers anymore, right? But there I was, clutching my coffee like a lifeline, when Sarah—who, by the way, had the loudest laugh in the room—sat next to me. I was awkward, she was bold, and somehow we clicked over our mutual love for mystery novels and our shared hatred for Mondays. We started hanging out after meetings, swapping stories about our disastrous workdays and weird family traditions. It wasn't instant magic, but slowly, I realized how much lighter life felt with her around. Turns out, stepping out of my comfort zone (and my apartment) was the best thing I could've done. Who knew friendship could sneak up on you like that? 😂 So, if you’re stuck in a rut, try saying yes to something new. You might just find your own Sarah. #FriendshipJourney #MakingFriends #LifeStories

can you believe i grew my first garden after a decade of chaos?

Four years ago, I moved into my own place after a wild ten-year ride. Never thought I’d be the person who gets excited about dirt and seeds, but here we are. My backyard was just a patch of weeds, but I started small—just a few tomatoes and some herbs. Watering them every morning felt like a fresh start. Watching those first sprouts push through the soil was unreal. Turns out, plants are pretty forgiving if you give them a little love and patience. I learned to mulch early to keep the weeds down and save water. Now, every flower and veggie feels like a tiny win. If you’re thinking about starting a garden, just jump in. The messier it is, the more you’ll learn. #gardening #freshstart #homegrown #healing #lifestories

How I Tracked Down My Long-Lost Friend Online 🕵️‍♂️

Ever tried to find an old friend and realized you remember everything except their last name? That was me, sitting at my kitchen table, piecing together scraps of memory—her wild red hair, the town we grew up in, her obsession with 90s rock bands. I even called up mutual friends, who were as clueless as I was (thanks, guys). The internet became my detective kit. I searched every version of her name—turns out "Liz" is now "Eliza"—and stalked social media like a pro. Alumni sites, people-finders, even government records (who knew campaign donations could be so useful?). It took weeks, but when I finally saw her smile in a profile pic, I laughed out loud. Finding an old friend is part detective work, part emotional rollercoaster, but totally worth it. If you’re searching, don’t give up—your friend might be looking for you, too. 🧩✨ #Friendship #Reconnect #LifeStories
