Talking about Montgomery and the other Downtown San Jose Theaters

The night is peaceful and quiet after a show, let's talk about the theaters of downtown San Jose! Personally, I think Downtown San Jose has a rich culture with four major theaters located closely together. Different shows keep playing, especially during the summer, there are musicals suitable for teens! The venue we visited this time was the smallest of the four, the Montgomery Theater! 📍Montgomery Theater 271 South Market St., San Jose, CA 95113 Built in 1936, it can accommodate 468 people. It's kids-friendly and often hosts shows for teenagers! 📍Center for the Performing Arts 255 Almaden Blvd., San Jose, CA 95113 This modern theater was built in 1972, and can hold 2608 people. For those interested in The Lion King, you can check online for ticket booking. The ticket prices range from $25-$188! The other two among the four: 📍San Jose Civic 135 W. San Carlos St., San Jose, CA 95113 The largest of the four theaters, built in 1934, and can hold 2850 people. The shows and talk-shows performed here are more adult-oriented, sometimes there are age restrictions of 18+. 📍California Theatre 345 S 1st St, San Jose, CA 95113 The most historic theater out of the four, built in 1927, and can hold 1122 people. It has a similar style to San Jose Civic, more serious themes suitable for adults. #MontgomeryTheater #DowntownSanJoseTheaters #TheaterCulture #LittleMermaid #LionKing #CenterforthePerformingArts #SanJoseCivic #CaliforniaTheatre
