Barrelista - Enjoying Morning Coffee in the 1849 Old Town

Location: Martinez Old Downtown! Martinez was established in 1849 and is the county seat of Contra Costa, known for its beautiful surroundings and numerous historical sites! We don't usually get up early in the morning to travel far for coffee, but today was a special case as we had to get our pupper's blood tested and decided to check out the highly-rated Barrelista Coffee House in town! Although the coffee shop only opened its doors in 2014, it's decorated quite cozily and in a vintage style to match the charm of the old town area. Some of the goodies we ordered: ✅ Iced Rose Latte ✅ Honey Lavender Latte ✅ Panino Florentino Panini The coffee was pretty decent, with a strong floral note. The Rose Latte is on the sweeter side and the Lavender Latte has a hint of bitterness. What left a remarkable impression was the Italian panini sandwich - the ingredients were fresh, the taste was salty and savory, especially the fried egg in the sandwich - yum!
