Meghan warning over ‘As Ever' overselling issues
Issuing a warning to Prince Harry’s wife, branding specialist Natalie Trice told the Daily Mail that repeated overselling signals “poor planning” and risks damaging customer trust.
"When people spend their money, and engage with a story or lifestyle, only to be let down at the point of fulfilment, it breeds frustration and scepticism,” she said.
The expert added, "While occasional overselling can happen, particularly with unexpected demand or celebrity brands, doing so again so soon suggests lessons haven't been learned."
Trice went on to bash Meghan over the image she posted of herself picking apricots following the incident.
"Meghan's brand has potential, but consumer goodwill is a limited resource,” she added.
"If customers feel like an afterthought or are let down repeatedly, they'll simply walk away, and the headlines will continue to overshadow the actual products and mission."
