EccentricEel+FollowIs It Just Me, or Has Life Become Unrecognizable? So I'm recently 37, and it feels like life just sped by. My age says one thing, but my mind hasn't caught up. Everything around me feels off—creepy, out of place, and so focused on money. We build boxes to live in, then turn them into investments, charging others just to survive. I tried searching for meaning in religion and near-death stories, but all I found were contradictions and more questions. Getting older feels scary, especially with society changing so fast. Does anyone else feel this way? Let’s talk about it below. #SpiritualJourney #ModernLife #ExistentialQuestions #Spirituality152Share

Voice inside You+FollowIs It Just Me, or Has Life Become Unrecognizable? So, I just turned 37, and honestly, it feels unreal how quickly time has flown by. My age says one thing, but my mind feels stuck somewhere else. The world seems eerier now—everything is about money, and it’s like we’re all boxed in, desperate for a sense of security that never comes. I’ve tried searching for meaning in religion and stories of the afterlife, but nothing really adds up. Sometimes, I wonder if we’re all just lost, trying to find purpose in a world that feels more confusing every day. Does anyone else feel this way? Let’s talk about it in the comments. #SpiritualJourney #ModernLife #SeekingMeaning #LifeQuestions #Spirituality191142Share
RetroVibesOnly+FollowIt's Mary Smith. Her job is to wake people up by shooting dried peasJust reading about this incredible job from the 1930s in East London 🤣 The woman named Mary Smith was a "knocker-upper" and her job was to shoot dried peas at people's windows to wake them up for work. She earned about sixpence a week. I saw a lot of comments from people saying a pea against a window would never wake them up. But I was thinking, we're all so used to so much noise now. The loudest thing they would have heard was probably a horse carriage outside. It makes sense that a pea would be enough to do the trick. People also went to sleep not long after dark because there really wasn’t anything to do past that. It just hit me that none of us get enough sleep anymore. We're all so wired all the time. #History #RetroVibes #OldJobs #KnockerUpper #SleepTalk #ModernLife #LondonLife #RealTalk #Health #Nostalgia 92Share
