San Jose Rose Garden: A Midsummer Sea of Roses in the Bay Area
You must visit the Bay Area's Rose Garden this summer. The entire garden is filled with vibrant roses, a rainbow of colors and super romantic vibes.
In the heart of the garden, there's a gorgeous blue fountain⛲️, with roses planted meticulously all around it. The roses nearest to the fountain are lower, and they get taller the further out they're planted, with some reaching human height.
The amount of flowers here is just astounding - not only roses, but also Chinese roses and climbers. There are so many flower colors here, too many to count. From common colors such as light and red hues, there are also some rare ones, so beautifully unique that words can't quite encapsulate their color.
Apart from roses planted on the ground, there are also climbers on trellises. These flower arches towering over human height are very popular photo spots. Many people lay down picnic blankets and sit around to relax while others take a break on the numerous wooden chairs available.
The Rose Garden is a popular spot for flower viewing in the Bay Area. If you'd like to avoid crowds, it's best to visit around 10 in the morning when the sun nicely lights up the entire garden. If you prefer flower viewing in the shade, it's best to come after 4 in the afternoon when half of the garden is under the tree shade, casting a gentler light.
Entrances are available all around the garden. Parking is generally available near the entrances and there's no admission fee to the Rose Garden. Remember to respect the garden - no picking flowers, and drone footage is not permitted.
