So I hit up two climbing gyms in Nagoya in one day.
Honestly, the first one was kinda frustrating—didn’t get a good climb in, but luckily both are downtown so I grabbed lunch and moved on.
The second one, Pinnacle2, was way better. Small but solid, two floors, all sorts of walls, really newbie-friendly with lots of easy routes.
The staff guy at the front desk? Kinda handsome but super serious, no smiles, but later when it got quiet he even tried teaching me some moves—even though his Japanese-English mix totally flew over my head 😂
Routes here feel a bit soft; I could climb most 3Qs and even push on 2Qs (think V3 level).
Tickets are chill too—2 hours or all day, I went with 2 hours since I already climbed that morning, saved some yen. New member fee is 1000 yen.
