Neuralink Just Did Two Surgeries in One Day — This Is Getting Real
Neuralink just pulled off two brain-computer interface surgeries in a single day — patients P8 and P9. That’s the first time they’ve doubled up like this, and apparently both people are doing well. It’s honestly surreal to think how fast this is moving.
Musk said something that hit me: “Imagine your loved one being able to walk again…” I mean, yeah. If this tech actually pans out, it could completely change the game for people with paralysis, ALS, dementia, etc.
But I’m also torn. The potential is incredible — giving people back control over their bodies, their memories, even communication. But it’s brain surgery. Like actual hardware in your head. There’s risk, there’s ethics, there’s the whole question of who gets access.
Still, it feels like we’re watching sci-fi turn into reality right in front of us. Just hope it’s handled with the care and transparency it deserves.
