The Surprising 'Advice' I Got at My Baby’s Checkup

Today I got some advice from our pediatrician that honestly left me speechless. As a mom exclusively breastfeeding my two-month-old, I’m used to our routine: he sleeps soundly from 8pm until about 2 or 3am, wakes up with a dirty diaper, and after a quick change and feed, goes back down until morning. He’s thriving—big for his age and eating well! But the doctor told me I shouldn’t wake him to change a poopy diaper (even suggested leaving the lights off and just letting him be), and that I should aim to drop all night feeds by three months. I can’t imagine ignoring my baby’s needs for the sake of a schedule. Has anyone else gotten advice like this? Would love to hear your thoughts! #ParentingJourney #NewMomLife #BreastfeedingSupport #Parenting

I'm drowning while my partner sleeps all day 😴💔

At 3 AM, I'm stumbling through another night feeding while my 6-week-old daughter cries in my arms. My two other kids, ages 4 and 6, will be up in a few hours demanding breakfast and needing rides to school. Meanwhile, my partner is fast asleep upstairs after his night shift. 😩 Every morning feels like Groundhog Day - I'm running on fumes, juggling diaper changes, school lunches, and pickup times while he recovers from work. Don't get me wrong, I know his job is demanding, but I feel like I'm drowning in this endless cycle of sleepless nights and solo parenting. 😭 I keep wondering if other moms are going through this same nightmare. Some days I catch myself crying in the car after school drop-off, wondering how long I can keep this up. Have you been in my shoes? I really need to know I'm not alone in this struggle. 💙 #NewMomLife #ShiftWorkStruggles #SoloParenting #FamilyRelationships
