Seeking Advice: New York City vs. Los Angeles – Where Should I Settle?

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to start my job hunt and seriously considering where I want to settle down for the next 3-5 years. Both New York City and Los Angeles offer plenty of opportunities in my industry, though NYC seems to have a slight edge. I've visited both cities but never lived in either. Here's what I've gathered: Los Angeles: Pros: Cleaner than NYC (a big win for me), and the cost of living, including housing, is more manageable. Cons: Attractions are spread out, and you need a car to get around. Making friends might be harder compared to the bustling NYC social scene. New York City: Pros: Abundant job opportunities and a vibrant social scene with friends and peers in various industries. The public transport system is a plus, avoiding LA's traffic. Cons: It's dirty (a big no for me), and I'm concerned about safety and the prevalence of pests. I value comfort and safety highly. What do you think?
