Why Can’t Stay-at-Home Dads Be the Norm?

Sometimes I wish being a stay-at-home dad was seen as just as normal as being a stay-at-home mom. My husband has always been the one who loves packing lunches, reading bedtime stories, and making sure our kids feel safe and loved. Yet, he still gets surprised looks and awkward questions from people who don’t understand his choice. It’s tough watching him have to justify his role when all he wants is to be there for our family.
