USC Upstate’s first DNP grads are changing care

Three trailblazers are about to make history as the first graduates of USC Upstate’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Balancing full-time jobs, parenting, and late-night coursework, Jonathan Green, Morgan Edmunds, and Kayla Berrios have shown what’s possible with flexibility and community support. Green’s work establishing a school-based clinic and volunteering for the underserved is already making a difference in Spartanburg. Edmunds and Berrios are inspiring their own kids and students by pushing boundaries in nursing education. Their journey is proof that with the right support, big dreams in healthcare can become reality.
