As I was leaving the bank, I realized I didn’t have my car keys. Panic set in. I raced back in, searched my purse—nothing. Then it hit me: I left the keys in the ignition! I ran outside. No car. Gone. I called the police, reported it stolen, gave them every detail, trying not to cry. Then came the hardest call: my husband. I told him the car was stolen… keys and all. He goes, “Uh, I dropped you off at the bank. Remember?” Y’ALL. I HAD NEVER DRIVEN THERE. I let out the biggest sigh of relief—until he added, “Cool.
