๐ŸŒฒ Exploring Uvas Canyon County Park ๐ŸŒฒ

Located in the South San Francisco Bay Area, Uvas Canyon County Park is a hidden gem that I just can't get enough of! ๐Ÿž๏ธ Nestled in a picturesque forested canyon, the park is home to an enchanting feature - seven stunning waterfalls, ranging from 10 to 55 feet in height. ๐Ÿ’ฆ Here's everything you need to know to plan your visit: When to Go: โœจ The best time to see the falls in their full glory is right after a significant rainfall, when the creeks are flowing at their peak. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Key Information: 1๏ธโƒฃ To avoid disappointment, be sure to book your parking spot in the park at least a week in advance, particularly during the high season from the end of January to June. 2๏ธโƒฃ The parking fee for the day is $6. 3๏ธโƒฃ You can find the trail map on the Official park page for easy navigation during your hike. 4๏ธโƒฃ Uvas Canyon County Park is conveniently located around 28 miles or a 40-minute drive from San Jose, or 75 miles and around 1.5 hours from San Francisco. 5๏ธโƒฃ Keep in mind that the park may have limited or no cell service, so come prepared. Hiking and Camping: 6๏ธโƒฃ If you're feeling adventurous, camping is available within the park for a memorable outdoor experience. 7๏ธโƒฃ To make the most of your visit and see all the falls in one hike, follow this trail route: - Start with Alec Trail to Triple Falls (~1.3 miles) - Return to Contour Trail to Upper Falls (~2 miles) - Visit Basin and Black Falls (less than 0.2 miles) - From Black Falls, follow the Waterfall Loop path closer to the stream (less than 0.1 miles) - Continue to Little Falls and then Granuja Falls (~0.5 miles) - Walk Swanson Creek Trail to Lower Falls (0.26 miles) - Return to the parking lot via Swanson Creek Trail, or explore Uvas Creek Trail to the Campground (~3 miles) Water Flow and Triple Falls: ๐ŸŒŠ For the most impressive water flow in all the falls, plan your visit after a significant rain. However, do note that Triple Falls can be almost dry for most of the year. #UvasCanyonCountyPark #WaterfallWanderlust #OutdoorAdventures #HikingTrailBliss #CampingInNature #BayAreaExplorer #NatureLover #BeautifulWaterfalls #ParkLife #GetOutside

The San Francisco Peninsula: Remarkable, Diverse and Interesting

We like the Peninsula area of San Francisco Bay, There are nice places to go such as parks, museums, sports facilities, Stanford University and San Jose State is there. This is also where many high technology firms are located. Highway 84 is just part of the peninsula area. In general, the peninsula is the area that is on the western side of San Francisco bay. It is the land area that separates San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. On the northern area is San Francisco and on the southern side is Santa Clara County. Many people live here and there are separate sections in Trip Advisor on each of the cities in this area. It is an area that has lots of great parks, universities, companies, shopping, restaurants, and more. The area in San Mateo County has the beautiful Crystal Springs Reservoir. It also has wonderful historic homes and estates; we have visited the estate that is on the peninsula called Filoli It is a beautiful mansion and gardens. There are beautiful redwood parks. Besides highway 84 another nice drive on the peninsula is highway 92. It is also called Skyline Drive and is a beautiful highway to drive with scenic views of the peninsula and gorgeous redwood parks. A scenic fast freeway on the peninsula is highway 280 that runs north to south. For the most part it is suburban living with gorgeous outdoor spaces to enjoy. #SanFranciscoPeninsula #BayAreaGem #SiliconValley #NatureLoversParadise #HistoricalLandmarks #OutdoorAdventures
