You ever feel like your mom just can’t help herself? My mom (71) loves me and my brother, but her advice is like a never-ending rainstorm. The other day, my boyfriend and I tried to plan Easter dinner, but a house we wanted to see popped up. I texted Mom, hoping she’d be flexible. Instead, she bombarded me for six hours, insisting we could see the house earlier—even after I explained three times that the website was wrong!
I was so frustrated, I snapped and canceled Easter. It’s not the first time—she always thinks she knows best, and when we push back, she acts like the victim. I love her, but this is exhausting. How do I get her to see that her ‘help’ is actually pushing us away? Please, tell me I’m not alone in this madness! 😤😩
