Makeup Practice Isn’t Just Practice—It’s Discovery

After bingeing makeup videos for months, I finally realized: the goal isn’t to copy every step—it’s to figure out which ones actually belong on your face. I broke things down. One week, I only practiced brows. No full face, just brows. On paper first, then on my face—three anchor points: head, arch, tail. That’s the 60-point pass line. From there, I explored: Do I need to trim? Which tools work with my desert-dry skin? Turns out only pencils stay put. This is what real progress looks like: You test what your skin can handle. You learn what features to emphasize—or not. For me: no shimmer under-eyes, no cute-girl blush. I go for sharp, cold, clean. That’s the energy I want to project. Makeup became a mirror. Not for vanity—but for clarity. Who am I today? What do I want people to feel when they look at me? #beauty #makeup #OwnYourLook
