Lately, I’ve been feeling so unsettled about my family. My sister is about to jet off to Thailand for two months, and after that, she’s moving all the way to Miami. We’ve always been a London family, so the thought of her being so far away is really hard for me to accept.
She already doesn’t spend much time with our parents, and I can’t help but worry that I’ll be left to pick up all the responsibility as they get older. It makes me angry, honestly. It feels like she doesn’t care about our parents at all, and her partner is just as distant—always flaunting his designer clothes and acting like he’s too good for us. He’s even been rude to my partner, making snide comments and ignoring him completely.
