While I know the intention is to honor the hard work of caregiving, it always feels a bit off. Dads who stay home are not mothers—they’re fathers, and their unique role deserves its own spotlight. As a dad who’s spent countless hours packing lunches, drying tears, and cheering at school events, I want to be seen for who I am: a dedicated father.
