The Berlin Airlift: Feeding a City with Wings
In 1948, the Soviets tried to choke Berlin.

The United States launched the Berlin Airlift.

Politically, it shattered Stalin’s gamble. America showed it could sustain allies even when surrounded.
Symbolically, it defined the Cold War: the free world fed Berlin; the Soviets tried to starve it.
