🤓 We Don’t Become Perfect One of the greatest disillusionments people face in the faith journey is realizing that choosing to follow Yeshua does not turn us into perfect people. From childhood, many of us were taught a distorted version of faith: Be good, be pious, avoid sin—or else you go to hell. That message often came wrapped in fear, shame, and impossible expectations. Along with it came an unspoken assumption—especially from those watching believers—that if we claim faith, we should somehow become flawless. But that was never the promise. Even with the grace of God, we do not become perfect. What we are given is perfect grace—and a path to follow. The truth is simple: we are still human. Following Jesus takes practice. It is learned, not downloaded. We will stumble. We will fall short. We will wrestle with old habits, reactions, fears, and wounds. Growth is not linear, and sanctification is not instant. Yet for those who truly believe, something profound happens. God’s kindness begins to change what we want. We don’t pursue goodness to earn salvation—we pursue it because we are loved. His mercy softens our hearts. His forgiveness awakens a desire to live differently, not out of fear, but out of gratitude. Some assume that faith is a loophole—that bad people hide behind belief in Jesus to excuse sin or escape accountability. People can misuse anything, but God is not fooled. God knows our hearts down to the smallest atom. He sees motives, intentions, repentance, and resistance. He knows the difference between someone struggling toward Him and someone merely using His name. Grace is not permission to remain unchanged. Grace is the power that invites change. Following Yeshua is not about performing holiness—it is about being transformed over time. Not perfected, but progressing. Not sinless, but surrendered. And always—held by mercy when we fall. We don’t become perfect. But we do become His. 🙏🏼 CONTINUED IN COMMENTS ⬇️⬇️⬇️ #Faith #Love #Peace #Perfect
