She'll hop onto my chest, give me those slow-blink 'I love you' eyes, then proceed to knead my ribs like she's preparing tomorrow's breakfast. The purring makes it worth the tiny claw punctures though. Apparently it's leftover behavior from when they were kittens massaging their mom for milk. So basically, your adult cat still sees you as their milk source. No pressure or anything.
