Those ridiculous movie mistakes about cars that drive anyone who has common sense nuts

I swear, sometimes it seems like Hollywood doesn't even bother to do a basic Google search. Bond's Flipping Aston Martin: You know that scene in Casino Royale where Bond is chasing the bad guys in his Aston Martin DBS. He's going fast and swerves to avoid Vesper, and the car somehow just flips and does a barrel roll. That scene always bothers me. An expensive sports car like that should have just spun out. It's like the car failed a simple accident avoidance maneuver, which is just not realistic. The Magic Healing Porsche: Everyone remembers that old movie Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger. There is a scene where a Porsche 911 gets smashed up on its side, but then Arnold flips it over, and suddenly, the car is completely fine. It's like the damage just disappeared. The Timeless Lamborghini: In the movie Dallas Buyers Club, which is set in 1985, the main character has a Lamborghini Aventador poster on his wall. That car wouldn't even exist for almost 30 more years. It's one of those little details that really stands out if you know anything about cars. The Forever Fuel: This one is everywhere, especially in zombie movies. Someone finds a car that has been sitting untouched for years, they jump in, and the engine starts right up. Any car person will tell you that after years of sitting, fuel goes bad, parts get rusty, and wires get chewed up by mice. It's just not how things work. I would love to hear what other movie mistakes really bother you. Let's hear the most ridiculous ones you have ever seen. #MovieMistakes #CarGuys #Cars #Movies #PetPeeves #Hollywood #FilmHistory

Talk About These Cool Car Names That Got Totally Wasted

There is just something special about a car with a real name. A performance version of the Ford Crown Victoria would have been cool no matter what but how much better did it get when Mercury chose to call it the Marauder. That is an incredible name. Sometimes though automakers use a great name on a car that doesn't live up to its name. The name Dodge Rampage evokes some kind of tough off roader. It was actually a front wheel drive unibody coupe utility based on a Charger. Its name just did not fit. In Japan after the R34 generation the Nissan Skyline name was used on various vehicles that would be sold as Infinitis. They are not necessarily bad cars but they pale in comparison to the legends from the 1990s. I also cringe at seeing the name Skyline on a crossover SUV. Then there is the Dodge Hornet. It started its life as the legendary Hudson Hornet but then the name was slapped on an overpriced hybrid econobox that literally nobody wants. The Toyota Supra is another one. It went from an all-in-house legend to something that doesn't even have a Toyota engine. It is a real shame too. #CarTalk #Cars #ClassicCars #Dodge #Nissan #Toyota #Discussion #PetPeeves

why is everyone blasting music on hiking trails?

We finally made it out to the state park this weekend, hoping for some peace and quiet. The trees were just starting to turn, and the air smelled fresh—honestly, it was the perfect fall morning. But then, halfway up the trail, we ran into a group with a portable speaker, blasting some pop song I couldn’t even recognize. It totally drowned out the birds and the wind in the leaves. I get that everyone wants to enjoy their hike, but isn’t the whole point to get away from all that noise? I even asked if they could turn it down, and they just shrugged and said they didn’t like wearing headphones. Am I missing something here? Isn’t nature supposed to be about, well, nature? I can’t be the only one who feels like this ruins the experience. We spent more time dodging loud music than actually enjoying the scenery. Has anyone else had their peaceful walk interrupted by someone else’s playlist? I’m starting to wonder if headphones are going out of style or if people just don’t care anymore. It’s enough to make me want to hike at sunrise just to avoid the noise. #hiking #nature #petpeeves #Travel
