Storm Incoming, Cat Acquired: Meet Noodle

So, apparently, my city is about to get absolutely wrecked by a storm tomorrow night. While everyone else is panic-buying bottled water and batteries, I made a beeline for the parking lot behind my apartment. Why? Because there’s this scruffy little cat (I call her Noodle) who’s been living under the old vending machine for weeks. She’s survived rain, loud trucks, and one very persistent raccoon, but I couldn’t let her face a hurricane alone. So yeah, I scooped her up, bribed her with tuna, and now she’s making biscuits on my couch like she owns the place. Not sure who rescued who, honestly. Here’s to hoping we both ride out the storm with minimal drama and maximum snacks. Stay safe out there, everyone. And if you see a stray, maybe offer them a spot on your couch too. #PetRescue #StormPrep #AdoptDontShop #Pets #Cats

Rescued a Tiny Survivor From the Scrap Heap

So, today at work, I was just minding my business, pretending to be productive, when I heard the tiniest meow coming from the scrap heap behind the building. Naturally, I assumed it was a ghost (because why not), but nope—out pops this scruffy little kitten, looking like she’s seen some things. Cue me, crawling through wood and spider webs in my work clothes, trying to coax her out with half a granola bar. Ten minutes later, I’m driving home with a very confused, slightly sticky kitten in my lap and sawdust in my hair. She’s now curled up on my couch, purring like she owns the place. I guess I have a new roommate? Not sure if I rescued her or if she rescued me, but either way, my heart is officially stolen. Rescued a Tiny Riverbank Survivor

So, today was supposed to be a chill walk by the river, but the universe had other plans. I heard this desperate mewing from the reeds and, surprise, found a shivering kitten staring up at me like I was the first human it had ever seen. No collar, no mom, just a soggy ball of fluff with trust issues. I’m not sure who thinks dumping a kitten by a river is a good idea, but here we are. After a quick debate with myself (and a lot of side-eye from passing ducks), I scooped the little guy up. He’s now home, dry, and currently plotting world domination from under my couch. Moral of the story: sometimes you go out for fresh air and come back with a new roommate. If you see an animal in trouble, don’t look away. You might just save a life (and get a new shadow in the process). #PetRescue #AdoptDontShop #KittenRescue #Pets #Cats

help! why is my cat glued to a mousetrap and how do i fix this?

So, my cat decided to become a DIY mouse hunter and got stuck to a glue trap. If your cat is still attached, grab some scissors and snip just the fur that’s stuck—don’t go near the skin! If it’s too close, let the vet handle it. Next, wrap your kitty in a towel burrito to stop any accidental licking. Grab some cooking oil (olive, canola, whatever you have) and massage it into the sticky spot. No fancy oils—just the basic stuff. Let it sit for a few minutes, then gently wipe the glue away with a cloth. Repeat if needed. Afterward, give your cat a mini spa day with lukewarm water and cat shampoo. Dry them off, give them a treat, and pretend this never happened. Cats, am I right? #catcare #petproblems #catowners #petrescue #Pets #Cats

My Cat’s Gone AWOL: Here’s What Actually Works

So, your cat’s vanished. One minute they’re loafing on the couch, next they’re a ghost. Panic? Sure, but don’t let it win. Grab a flashlight and start with the obvious: under beds, behind the fridge, inside closets. Cats are basically liquid; if there’s a gap, they’ll squeeze in. Don’t forget to check weird spots—drawers, boxes, even inside the washing machine (yep, learned that the hard way). Shake treats, call their name, and listen for the tiniest meow. If they’re still MIA, hit the yard. Check under bushes, cars, and trees. Cats rarely go far, but they’re pros at hide-and-seek. Still nothing? Time to crowdsource. Ask neighbors, post on social, and make flyers. Call shelters and microchip your furball if you haven’t already. Losing a cat is stressful, but you’re not alone. Most cats come home. Just don’t forget to check the laundry basket—again. #LostCat #PetRescue #CatOwners #Pets #Cats
