hiking petra for hours—was the view really worth it?

We spent two sweaty hours hiking up the rocky trails of Petra, Jordan, all for that famous view everyone posts about. The sun was blazing, my knees were starting to complain, and every time we thought we were close, another set of stairs popped up. I kept wondering if we should’ve just stopped at the Treasury and called it a day. When we finally reached the top, the view was stunning, but I couldn’t help but think about the blisters forming on my feet and how the photos never show the exhaustion behind the smiles.
