Susan Ball+FollowHome Depot orchids rescued from the trashImagine picking up a bunch of gorgeous orchids—straight from the trash at Home Depot! That’s what happened when a plant lover’s friend, who works at the store, saved dozens of potted orchids headed for the dumpster. Even though the plants had bugs and stem rot, they’re now getting a second chance at life. This makes you wonder: why do stores toss out so many plants instead of marking them down or donating them? If more stores changed their approach, we’d see less waste, lower prices, and a healthier planet. Have you ever scored plants this way or seen waste like this? #Home #HomeDepot #PlantRescue436Share

Even better, a store worker caught her in the act... and helped her load up her car. Dumpster diving isn’t just for food—saving these plants means less waste and more green in your garden (literally). Plus, it’s totally legal if you’re careful. Would you try this for a free plant haul? #DumpsterDiving #PlantRescue #Sustainability #Spirituality31Share
ElectricLuna+FollowMy Aloe Was Dying—Here's What Saved ItI thought my aloe was a goner—leaves turning mushy and brown, and nothing seemed to help. After some trial and error (and a few near-disasters), here’s what actually worked: 💡 Check the soil before watering. Stick your finger in—if it’s dry a couple inches down, water lightly. If it’s still damp, wait. Overwatering is the #1 aloe killer! ✅ Use the right pot and soil. Go for a wide pot with drainage holes and cactus/succulent mix. No regular potting soil—trust me, it holds too much water. 🔔 Give it indirect sunlight. Too much sun burns the leaves, but too little makes it leggy. I move mine near a bright window, out of direct rays. ⚠️ Watch for pests. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth if you spot bugs. If you see weird, bumpy growths, it might be time to say goodbye. #AloeCare #PlantRescue #HouseplantTips #Health #Wellness00Share
