Older plueger reels just feel better, right?

Been comparing my old Plueger President XT reels to the current gen and honestly? The older ones are way better built. My prior gen models run smooth as butter while my new President 25 feels cheap and has drag issues. The vintage stuff just has that solid feel that's missing from today's reels.
