Am I a Rebel Gardener for Planting Mint?

Decided it was time to break away from conventional gardening wisdom and plant mint directly in the ground, knowing full well the risks of its aggressive spreading. I’ve always enjoyed cultivating a little chaos in the garden, but mint might be my wildest adventure yet! Who doesn’t love fresh mint leaves just outside their door? I picture all the mojitos, fresh mint lemonade, and even mint-topped desserts I can whip up now that I’ve given this little botanical beast some freedom. My neighbors might think I'm a bit reckless, but I'm convinced it'll be worth it. While mint can be the king of overachieving plants, I’m ready to tame the beast to my advantage.
