My Cat’s Vet Call: Not the Bad News I Feared
So, I spent the last 48 hours convinced my cat, Muffin, was about to get the worst diagnosis ever. She’s been acting weird—sleeping in new places, ignoring her favorite toy, the works. Cue my brain spiraling into every worst-case scenario.
Today, the vet finally calls. I’m bracing myself, tissues in hand, ready for the C-word. Instead, the vet says, “She’s perfectly healthy. Just a little chubby.”
I literally burst out laughing and Muffin, blissfully unaware, is now back to her usual self—knocking over water glasses and judging me from the windowsill.
Turns out, sometimes our pets are just weirdos, not dying. If you’re spiraling over your furball’s quirks, maybe it’s just a phase. Or maybe they’re just dramatic. Either way, give them a treat. They probably deserve it for putting up with us.
