Why Jesus would rather you be completely cold than a "Lukewarm" Christian. ☕🛑

The letter to the Laodicean church in Revelation 3 is brutal. Jesus literally says, "Because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit (vomit) you out of my mouth." Why does He hate lukewarmness so much? If you are cold (an unbeliever), you at least know you are empty and need a savior. But a lukewarm Christian is someone who goes to church, lives a comfortable, wealthy life, and thinks they are fine. They have just enough "religion" to numb their conscience, but not enough to change their life. They make Jesus sick because they turn His radical, blood-bought grace into a casual Sunday hobby.
