Never Eat a Hard Avocado Again: Ripe Avocado Hacks

Check the color first. Hass avocados should be deep green to purple when ripe, not bright green or black. Other types like Fuerte or Bacon stay green, so know your variety! Gently squeeze the avocado in your palm (not your fingertips). It should give just a little—too firm means it's not ready, too mushy means it's overripe. Try the stem trick. Flick off the little stem nub. If it pops off easily and you see green underneath, you’re good to go. Brown means overripe, yellow means it needs more time. Avoid avocados with dark blemishes or wrinkled skin. These are usually bruised or past their prime. If you accidentally cut an unripe one, brush it with lemon juice, put the halves back together, wrap it tight, and let it ripen in the fridge. Or, slice it up and bake avocado fries! Life’s too short for bad avocados. Get the perfect one every time! #AvocadoTips #KitchenHacks #RipeAvocado #Food #Cooking
