Thinking about Salomon hiking boots but did some research first. Here's the real deal: They're great IF they fit your foot shape - wide toe, narrow heel works best. Speed Cross line is more rectangular though. They run narrow overall, so size up or get wide if needed. The grip is amazing but wears faster because the rubber is softer. Also, their arch support is terrible even for flat feet - you'll need aftermarket insoles like SuperFeet. Biggest takeaway? Don't buy online! Go to a real outfitter and get properly fitted.
