Working in a busy sandwich shop, there’s one thing that never fails to drive me up the wall: customers who keep changing their minds mid-order. It’s like, you’re halfway through making a turkey club, and suddenly, they want to swap the bread, add pickles, remove the mayo, and oh, can you make it a wrap instead? Meanwhile, there’s a line out the door and the ticket printer is spitting out new orders every ten seconds. It’s not that I don’t want to get it right, but every switch means tossing what’s already started, wasting food, and slowing down everyone else’s lunch. It gets chaotic fast. I get that people want what they want, but sometimes it feels like they don’t see the ripple effect. One indecisive order can throw off the whole flow, and then people start getting cranky about the wait. If only folks realized how much smoother things go when they just stick to their first choice!
