When a Teacher Crosses the Line: Supporting My Daughter After a Hurtful Incident

Yesterday, my daughter came home visibly upset, and after some gentle encouragement, she shared that her teacher had called her a slur. As a parent, hearing this was both heartbreaking and infuriating. No child should ever be subjected to such language, especially from someone they trust and look up to. We’ve always taught our children to stand up for themselves and others, but nothing prepares you for moments like this. We’re working closely with the school to ensure this is addressed, and most importantly, reminding our daughter of her worth and dignity. Has anyone else faced something similar?
