When a Teacher’s Words Hurt: Am I Being Too Protective?

Lately, I’ve been wrestling with a question that keeps me up at night: Am I overreacting to the way my daughter’s teacher spoke to her? She came home visibly upset, her usual spark dimmed, and shared how her teacher’s tone made her feel small and embarrassed in front of her classmates. As a parent, my first instinct is to shield her from any pain, but I also wonder if I’m letting my emotions cloud my judgment. Have you ever felt torn between advocating for your child and worrying you might be overstepping? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences—let’s support each other through these parenting dilemmas. Should Phones Stay Out of Schools?

Okay, real talk—should we ban phones from schools? 🙈 As a parent, I get the struggle! Here’s what I’ve noticed: • Phones are a HUGE distraction. Kids text, scroll, and game instead of paying attention. 😅 • But, they’re also a lifeline for emergencies. I’d panic if my kid couldn’t reach me! • Some teachers use phones for learning, which is actually pretty cool. • But let’s be honest—most of the time, they’re just a source of drama and FOMO. So, what’s the answer? I’m torn! Maybe a middle ground—phones off during class, but allowed at lunch? Or should we just go all in and ban them? I’d love to hear what you think! Drop your thoughts below. ❤️ Let’s figure this out together! #ParentingDebate #SchoolLife #TechInClass #Education

My Pokemon Treasure Shop for my Students

Important note: These are not sealed products! Hey everyone, I’m back and excited to share my Pokémon haul for the 2025/2026 school year! Last year, my students scored some amazing cards and spent a ton using our classroom rewards system. Finding stock this year has been tough thanks to the Pokémon craze, but what I have should keep things going for the school year. A little about my Pokémon Treasure Shop: I’ve poured countless hours (and dollars!) into creating this little store for my students. I use all my bulk holos, reverse holos, ultra rares—even secret rares—as rewards for the kids. They earn classroom dollars for things like completing homework, staying on task, and exhibiting good behavior, which they can then spend on Pokémon cards. What I love about this setup is that it not only gives kids—especially those with fewer opportunities—a chance to collect, but it also serves as an awesome incentive. I’ve been running this for a few years now, and seeing their faces light up and hearing the excitement when they get a card never fails to make me smile. #PokemonTCG #Pokemon #SchoolLife
