Barbara's Fishtrap - Deep Fried Jumbo Shrimp FTW 🙌
This weekend, we took a family trip to Half Moon Bay. For lunch, we chose a seaside restaurant called Barbara's Fishtrap... and it did NOT disappoint! Sure, at first glance, the menu seems filled with your average fried food items (fried fish, shrimp, etc.), but this place has a bit of an unfair advantage, being right by the water. The seafood is superbly fresh, and the frying process adds a deliciously crunchy texture while retaining an incredible sweetness!
The Ocean Prawn Tempura is a personal favorite — the shrimp is absolutely tender and literally bursts with flavor with each bite. Trust me, even if you pass on everything else, make sure you try the fried jumbo shrimp!
But it's not just the food that's great, the surroundings are amazing too! The restaurant is located in Harbour Village, complete with fantastic amenities, fantastic views, fishing opportunities and a beach that's perfect for a leisurely stroll with the kids. There's even a Shopping Center! If you're not the outdoorsy type, just stop here and you’re gonna get the entire Half Moon Bay experience - breathtaking blue seas and skies with plenty of sunshine ☀️.
