Called Negative? Here’s How I Bounce Back!
Ouch—being called negative stings, right? 😅 I’ve been there, and trust me, it’s tough not to react. But here’s how I handle it (and keep my cool):
• I PAUSE. Just a few seconds before I say anything. It saves me from blurting out something I’ll regret!
• I BREATHE. Seriously, it helps me stay calm and focused.
• I ASK for clarification—like, “Can you explain what you mean?” Sometimes people rethink their words!
• I AGREE a little (if it’s true), but not 100%. “Yeah, I can be cautious sometimes.”
• I REFUTE (nicely) if I think they’re wrong. “I see myself as realistic, not negative.”
• I use HUMOR to lighten the mood. “Guess I’m just positively negative today!”
• Sometimes, I just THANK them and move on. No drama.
Later, I reflect: Was there any truth? Am I just having a rough week? 🙈
Bottom line: I’m not letting one comment define me. I learn, adjust, and keep it moving. ❤️
