This is the most outrageous misunderstanding I have ever experienced, not only towards men but also towards yoga🧘! I have to emphasis, Yoga is for Everyone! The origins of yoga date back thousands of years to ancient India, where it was practiced predominantly by men, and after everyone no matter of gender, region, age were encouraged to participate in it! The idea that yoga is a “feminine” activity is a relatively recent development, largely influenced by modern marketing and media. The belief that men who practice yoga must be gay is a harmful stereotype that discourages many men from trying yoga. This stereotype is rooted in outdated gender roles and a misunderstanding of what yoga truly is.
