where should i stay in siquijor without breaking the bank?
Last summer, I finally decided to treat myself to a solo adventure in Siquijor. I was excited, but honestly, a bit nervous too. I don’t drive, so renting a motorcycle was out of the question. That meant I needed a place to stay that was close enough to the bars and restaurants so I could just walk everywhere.
After searching online for what felt like hours, I kept running into places that were either way too expensive or just too far from the action. I mean, what’s the point of a relaxing trip if you have to hike a mile just to grab dinner? I’m not looking for luxury, just somewhere clean, safe, and social enough that I won’t feel like a total outsider.
Has anyone else faced this dilemma? Where did you end up staying that was affordable and close to everything? I’d love to hear about your experiences—especially if you’ve found any hidden gems or places to avoid. Sometimes I wonder if these so-called “budget” hotels are really worth it, or if it’s better to splurge a little for convenience. It’s tough to know what’s actually walkable when you’re looking at maps from thousands of miles away!
