My boss followed my social media account😱😱😱
So, here’s my dilemma: I work your classic 9-5 in a downtown office, and a while back, my boss and a couple of coworkers followed me on Instagram. At the time, I didn’t have the guts to say no—peer pressure is real, right? Now, every time I want to post about my love for vintage sneakers or my latest movie review, I freeze up, knowing my boss might see it.
It’s not like I’m sharing anything wild, but still, I’d rather keep my work life and personal life separate. We’re a pretty close-knit team and even hang out after work on Thursdays, so just blocking them would be super awkward. Should I rope in HR or just keep my account private and hope no one notices?
Honestly, I wish I’d set boundaries from the start, but here I am, stuck in social media limbo. Anyone else ever regret that split-second decision to hit ‘accept’? 😅📱
