Why do we ignore the time a witch literally summoned a dead prophet? 📖

I always thought séances and psychics were either complete scams or just psychological tricks. But 1 Samuel 28 completely shatters that comfortable illusion. King Saul goes to the Witch of Endor to contact the dead prophet Samuel. Pastors usually skip over the craziest part: it actually worked. But the witch didn't do it. The text shows the witch herself shrieked in absolute terror when Samuel appeared, because she realized she wasn't in control—God actually permitted Samuel's spirit to return to deliver a terrifying final judgment on Saul. The spiritual realm is not a joke. Darkness is real, and meddling with the occult is playing with live ammunition. I finally looked up what angels actually look like (and i'm terrified) I used to think of angels as soft, chubby babies playing harps on clouds. It's a comforting image, but it's completely fabricated. I was reading through Ezekiel and Revelation, and the biblical descriptions are actually terrifying. Wheels within wheels covered in eves, four-headed creatures burning like hot coals, beings so overwhelming that their first words literally had to be "Do not be afraid" just so humans wouldn't faint We've watered down the spiritual realm to make it palatable.
