A few moments are enough when climbing.
Two sessions a week for two months—still mediocre, but joy isn’t about skill. Climbing mirrors life: some bold, some cautious, some obsess over details, some shrug it off. For me, it’s learning to accept my body, my fear, my limits. Success feels amazing, but so do the small wins: figuring out a beta, inching forward on a stuck route, applause from strangers, or climbing a tree I couldn’t before. Yesterday, I struggled balancing high up, a newbie passed faster, and I thought, “They’re braver.” Friend said: “You’re brave too.”
