This past summer, I realized all our "cringe" trends are back. I told you so.

They used to make fun of us for being old-fashioned, for our skinny jeans, and for remembering a time before email. They called us cringe for loving the stuff we did. But now, they’re doing it all! Seriously, this summer I’m seeing: Big Hair: It's back, and it's everywhere. Just look at Dolly Parton or Beyoncé. 'Sex and the City': Young people are binging it and living their best Carrie Bradshaw fantasies. Wired Headphones: Yes, with all the Bluetooth options, they're choosing wired. Physical Media: Kids are digging through thrift store bins for DVDs and CDs. JNCO Jeans: JNCOs were huge in a lot of subcultures in the '90s but got mocked and disappeared once skinny jeans took over. Now, they've made a full comeback with Gen Z. It's honestly pretty funny to watch. We just went through all of this already. I guess we were just ahead of our time. My birthday is in the summer so I was already in party mode, and then I met this bartender who instantly became my partner in crime. Suddenly I was hitting the beach three or four times a week, drinking cheap beer, throwing frisbees, getting sunburned, and eating rooftop BBQ while the sunset tried to outdo itself every night. We never talked about how it would end, but once work came back into the picture, so did reality. Things just faded out. Still, I catch myself smiling when I think about it because for a couple of months life really did feel perfect. Conquering half dome in the heat

Hiking Half Dome in 33°C was an epic adventure! Started at 2:30 AM from Mariposa, hit the trail by 4 AM. Covered 29.33 km with a 1635m ascent. The heat was intense, but I managed with 4 liters of water, using 3. The trail was manageable except for the final rope section. Pro tip: bring via ferrata gear if you're not a climber. #Summermemory #HalfDomeHike

Every summer as a kid, we camped at this little pond because it was all we could afford. In the middle sat a floating dock, and that’s where everything happened—learning to dive, making friends from other towns, even my first awkward truth-or-dare nights.
