What My Keychains Can’t Show You

Every trip, I’d buy a keychain—tiny souvenirs that felt like proof I’d been somewhere, done something. They piled up in a drawer, each one a cheap stand-in for a memory I thought I’d want to remember. Last week, I tried to display them all on a corkboard. It looked busy, cluttered—like a map of places I’d passed through but never really stayed. Some keychains I couldn’t even place anymore. The stories behind them?
