He holds my hand like he’s human

Every night, without fail, my cat crawls into my lap like it’s a ritual. He doesn’t just curl up — he reaches for me. One tiny paw, always resting on my hand or between my fingers. Like we made a silent agreement years ago and he’s keeping his end of the deal. He’s never scratched me. Not once. Not even in sleep-twitches or startles.
