That Vegas to SF flight… did we just survive a crash?
Turbulence? More like a mid-air rollercoaster. Ten minutes after takeoff, the flight attendant warned there’d be no drink service because it was “not safe.” My heart sank. Then the pilot gave us 15 minutes to use the bathroom before the seatbelt sign stayed on indefinitely. I prayed the turbulence wouldn’t come… but at 20 minutes in, the plane started shaking like crazy. No one spoke, but I heard people breathing hard. The girl next to me saw my panic, took my hand, and said, “Hold my hand. Everything will be okay.” We didn’t let go until we landed. The flight attendant said, “We’ve arrived.” The girl looked at me and whispered, “We’ve survived.”
Now I’m on the ground, still shaking. My teeth were literally chattering when I stepped off the plane. I’ve always feared flying, and this? This just made it worse.
