It's mind-boggling to realize -- had these wedding invitations never been sent, some of us literally wouldn't exist today. What's particularly striking is the stark contrast between the gendered messages. The one for the groom is like 'congrats on your new deadweight husband!' and the bride gets 'well, at least she can cook...' The gender stereotypes are real. These charming illustrations come packaged with such blatant sexism.
