Vippassana Changed Me—But Not in the Way I Hoped

Hi. I did a Vippassana retreat at 20, hoping to find clarity and peace. Instead, I came back more lost than ever—my thoughts louder, my sense of self fractured. I drifted from friends, broke up with my girlfriend, and now, at 30, I feel like a stranger to my old life. I just want to be alone, maybe even become a monk, because pretending to be 'normal' feels impossible. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
