ATMOSPHERIC RIVER UPDATE: Steady rain continues across western Oregon and Washington, keeping much of western Oregon under a Flood Advisory as rivers respond to saturated ground. In southwest Washington, officials are closely monitoring the Cowlitz River, where heavy rainfall is pushing Mount St. Helens volcanic sediment downstream—raising flood risk for communities along the river. Prolonged rain increases the chance of overflow as sediment narrows river channels. 📷 Image credit: National Weather Service / local emergency management #AtmosphericRiver #FloodAdvisory #PacificNorthwest #OregonWeather #WashingtonWeather

Windstorm chaos: Power out and roads blocked

Massive winds just swept through western Washington, leaving thousands of homes and businesses without power and making some roads nearly impossible to use. Crews have been working nonstop to clear downed trees and restore electricity, but many in King, Pierce, and Skagit counties are still waiting in the dark. Even familiar routes like SR 900 near Jay Berry’s Cafe and Renton Avenue in Skyway were blocked by fallen trees. With more gusty weather on the way, it’s a good time to check on neighbors and prep for more outages. How are you handling the aftermath? Any tips for staying safe or stories to share? #Business #Industry #WashingtonWeather
